The Department of Informatics (DInf) at the Federal University of Paraná was created in 1971. It offers two Bachelor's degree courses: Computer Science, since 1988, and Biomedical Informatics, created in 2010.
DInf's Postgraduate Program offers a Master's Degree, created in 1996, and a Doctorate, approved by Capes in 2008.
The DInf has a teaching staff made up of more than 70% PhDs qualified at leading universities in Brazil and abroad who work on cutting-edge research projects.
